Most Sachem apartments are offered in the spring to students arriving for the fall term. Apartments vacated at other times during the year will be listed on this site. Individuals interested in renting a Sachem apartment can apply to rent an apartment when it becomes available.
Rental rates for Sachem Village are posted in the link above, along with corresponding floor plans for students to view. This list will not represent the units that will be available for lease for the upcoming school year, but simply a total inventory of floor plans and apartment types at Sachem Village. As current residents give written notice of their intent to vacate, we will post the apartment on our available listings page, http://www.dartmouthre.com/dartmouth-rentals/. Please follow us on Facebook and Twitter to receive updates regarding unit postings. We should begin posting availability by April 15, 2014. There is no wait list or lottery for Sachem housing. You will need to apply directly online. The $50 application fee is non-refundable. For those interested in housing at Sachem Village, we strongly recommend checking the website frequently, as updates and availability may change. Please note, incoming students are permitted ONE application per family. Duplicate applications for a single student for multiple apartments will not be considered. *IMPORTANT ITEMS TO NOTE: All Sachem Village rental housing is non-smoking. Students who plan on trying to get an apartment in Sachem Village, do not need to submit an application in advance. Sachem housing is applied for directly online and to a specific unit of your choice. Once a unit has recieved a successful application, they will be listed on the website as "Lease Pending". These units are no longer available and will no longer receive applications. New units will be posted as they become available. The leases will begin as of the date listed for the property. These dates are non-negotiable. Once your application is received successfully, you will not be able to transfer to another unit.**For up to date availability in Sachem Village, please see Graduate Student Housing Listings. Should you see a unit you are interested in, please apply directly online to that unit. **

The Real Estate Office will be closed for the holidays from Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. and will re-open Monday, January 5, 2015 at 8:00 a.m. If you are a tenant with a work order emergency during the above timeframe, please call the Troubleshooters at 603-646-2344. Happy holidays!

Effective immediately, all new leases will require 90 days' notice from tenants who wish to vacate. The security deposit for all Dartmouth-owned, off-campus rental properties will now be $750. (This policy is not retroactive.) Additionally, for those with permitted pets, there will now be a non-refundable $200 pet fee due at lease signing. The monthly pet fee for the first pet will be $50/mo. If you have a second pet, the fee for that pet will be $35/mo.
